In case you haven’t noticed, December and the holiday season are upon us. There will be all kinds of celebrations around Charleston. The Kiawah Marathon is again available for you to trim off those extra pounds. The Charleston real estate market is doing quite well and may exceed the records set in 2017. Through October, 2019 had .3% more transactions than the same 2018 period and median sales price was up 4.2% YTD. Median sales price is now at a record high of $282k. This includes condos and townhomes as well as single family detached homes. The median price of just single family detached sales is now at $300k. While Mt Pleasant continues to be the most attractive and pricey suburb, Summerville and Goose Creek are getting a lot of new construction to fill the housing needs of Volvo.
